Some things that have been going through my mind with what's been happening with pastagang lately:
I don't like it when people destroy with no intention to create
That doesn't feel like you want something to change. That just feels like you wanna say no to something.
If you want to destroy something because the removal of that thing actually adds? That's cool!
I feel like "let code die" started as that. Gotta remove things to make space for new things to happen!
And I can see the argument behind "kill the discord". But besides "the tech industry has shit politics" (tell me something new), what's beyond that?
People talk a lot in the discord. That's what it's functionally for. Nudel didn't have a chat because the intended experience was jamming out with people without discussing it.
Do we want pastagang to be a place people don't talk about stuff? if so then delete the discord.
But if you want pastagang to talk about a bunch of stuff then what's the plan after deleting the discord?
I thought people didn't talk enough in the signal so I made a discord that's how that went
dente was already being created when nudel got deleted. reisnudel happened not long after. nudel being deleted was free space being created.
so give me a full formed thought about why and what you think will happen or what you don't know will happen but you're interested to do it as an experiment to find out what'll happen. pastagang is at it's most pastagang when it chaotically decides to do something. sledgehammer cult "kill it all" is boring if you're not telling me about the mosaic you're gonna make out of the rubble. or how you think the building falling down will be interesting to watch.
SHOW ME YOUR SOUL SHOW ME YOUR CREATIVITY STAND UP AND SPEAK INTO EXISTENCE WHAT YOU THINK IS MISSING
destruction forces creation it forces us to change here all distruction all dead code is intended to create and look we have more chats than before!
